Brian Bohmueller is a recognized Secular Humanist Officiant. After attending training sessions through the Center for Inquiry, CFI-Indiana Executive Director Reba Boyd-Wooden certified him to conduct marriages and other secular ceremonies.
Brian was born and raised in suburban Philadelphia in a liberal Christian family that reinforced caring relationships and meaningful works. Through his college and professional career, he has ratcheted up his convictions to eschew religious and pseudoscience beliefs in favor of a rationalist world-view and a secular-humanist vision.
Brian received his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Penn State University and his Masters of Science Education from Arcadia University. Professionally, he has worked as a helicopter safety systems engineer, an information technology manager, and a middle school math, science and technology teacher. Currently he publishes the mindfully, rationalist blog Goodness First while pursuing other projects as a writer.
Brian’s professional experiences are underscored by a wide variety of life experiences that include community theater, hospice volunteering, medieval re-enactment, backpacking, motorcycling, competitive sports, and letter boxing. He has served as Vice President to the Freethought Society and the Humanist Association of Greater Philadelphia. He is also a member of Toastmasters and supports the pursuit of a mindful, progressive society.
Brian looks forward to working with you to personalize and officiate at your wedding, memorial service or other life transition event.
